Title: Arkansas track update
Post by: Kool Performance on December 21, 2017, 07:24:48 PM
Arkansas update
We were at the airport this week. It is an awesome facility. There is a huge pit area. The runway surface is in excellent shape. It is not grooved, but the surface has great traction.
A few notes
The shut down is very long.
There will be no overnight camping inside the airport gate.
There will be a camping area just outside the gate.
The host hotel is the Holiday Inn. They are giving us a special rate. The owner is very supportive of us being there.
SO PLEASE make your reservations as soon as possible.
Phone (870) 763-5800

I will post a video of the course as soon as I edit it down.

Any rules updates and registration will be announced after the 1st of the year

Thanks
Steve Strupp

Here is a run I did back in June at the Arkansas mile.  Really smooth surface.  The crosswind moved me and I had to back out, but you can get a feel for the track.

Pretty cool video! I see you had to back off the throttle twice, so you could have gone faster.
BTW what were you using for the data overlay on the video?

That was done with Dashware with the Contour GPS camera data, almost a direct deal without any editing.  I took some time and messed with the Dashware software a couple-three years back. Overlayed my data from Innovate datalogger system and the Contour GPS camera, looked very impressive; BUT, it took a looong time to get right.  Got lazy after that...
