From the SDRC club president,
"Hello all,
As of 3pm Monday afternoon, John is still in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Ca. The hopeful plan was to get him closer to home to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach but as of now there is not a firm plan in place. He is in quite a bit of pain and needs surgery for his shattered hip and but is stable.
Right now, he is tentatively scheduled for that surgery tomorrow, but that is not yet confirmed.
They are currently moving his position in bed every two hours to avoid blood clots etc. and it's very painful.
The best we can do right now is keep him in our thoughts. I have told Jessica (girlfriend) we will help in any way we can.
I think this will be a tough road for awhile and there will be time for us all to make visits and phone calls later. Right now Jess is keeping her head above water.
If you do plan on going up, make sure where he is.
Jill"

Heal up John, get well soon.

Limit the number of trophies and awards that
he receives at the SCTA banquet. He likes to
carry them to his rig by himself.

Latest from the SDRC pres.
"Hi all,
John came thru the almost six hour surgery on his hip area with metal plates and screws in place. He didn't get much sleep last night and only wanted milk for breakfast. He said the food sucked. I think he's returning! He will be in the hospital for several more days, as far as I know, still at Arrowhead Med. I will let you know if I hear he is going to be moved closer to home.
He's a tough cookie.
Let me know if you'd like to go up to see him, I'll make dang sure he is there and able to see visitors. I do plan on trying to get up there and see him on Friday.
Jill"

John
I don’t know you, however we have something in common.
I had an accident this year at Bonneville.
I can tell you that your rehab won’t be easy but if you look at it as a challenge you can do it.
When I went to the hospital I was given opioids. In retrospect I believe that they made my recovery more difficult
You and your family need to advocate for yourself but you can get back to as good as you were or better.
Best Regards

From the SDRC Facebook page;
"Good News Friday! John Noonan is headed home today. In true racer fashion, much faster than expected! It will be good to be closer to family and friends."

I talked to John Friday evening. Nov 24. He sounded strong.
He took a shower and never used his walker. He is tough.
He has taken steps w/o the walker. Also plans to go to
work some this coming week.
Worry about him? Hello NO. Support Him? Most definitely.
H
is friends came thru in fine style. The trucks and bikes
are all safe and back in LA.
Best report I can give. Get well faster, John.
