Title: California Fires this week

Hi all,
I have just been watching the news and seen the devastation brought by the fires in California. My heart goes out to all of you in the areas affected. I hope anyone of you guys that are in the area are safe and that with luck any damage is very minimal.

Has anybody heard from Rex Schimmer?  I'm looking at the fire map, it this looks like it's going on in his backyard.  I tried messaging him - to no avail.

It's really smokey outside. And I must be 50 mikes from the fires.

A year later and here we are again.... I just saw a report that several high dollar houses were burned in San Bernardino and was worried about Stan... Stan are you Back away from the fires?

We're safe.  They were a mile or so upwind of us.  Still reason for concern.  We've always been annoyed by the yearly "Santa Ana" winds.  Now we're scared, too.

 Haven't talked to Rex, but his house is ok. I live about 4 miles away.  The fire didn't jump the freeway this time, thanks to 4500 determined firefighters.
