Sounds like the SCTA is still hopeful, ya just gotta get lucky.
-
Haven't seen any updates posted by the SCTA, the camera still shows wet salt
-
SCTA web site says:
There will be Officials on the Salt on Thursday. If we have any further updates including weather, we will update the Facebook Page & the Website.
So there may be an update later on today.
-
Officially cancelled per SCTA's Facebook posting. Bummer :-(
-
....time to start focusing on SpeedWeek 2018 as the next event on the Salt.
:-o
Steve.

the next two are Australia ...then Bolivia
-
The quality of the surface in Bolivia was way beyond my
expectations. There were a substantial number of people
there and no medical incidents related to the altitude.
Bonneville was a big step in the 1940's and Australia
has also not been easy. But this Bolivia event will no
doubt be repeated. There are people that still have a
burning desire to compete and Bolivia is a 2018 challenge
with great rewards. Hang on tight. People who have
been there will be going back and bringing others with
them. Australia and Bolivia. Don't decide that there is
no place to run. Both are available. It's just a bit different
getting there. No doubt many vehicles will go by air and
a few by boat. Bonneville Speed Week 1949 was fed with
single axle trailers and flat towed roadsters. Now it's easier
to go by air.
