Title: Crew/pit wrist bands?
Post by: distributorguy on August 07, 2017, 01:15:17 PM
Sorry for such a dumb newb question.  Do we buy wrist bands at land's end when we enter?  Its my first time as a participant.  We have a lot more than the 5 people listed on the entry form coming.  What's the procedure to get them wrist bands for pit access, or is that even an issue?  Cash only for the extra $5 or ?  I just want to be prepared.
Thanks in advance!

I believe that you get two crew car passes and four admission passes when you pick up your registration package before inspection.  You don't need the passes on Thursday or Friday before the event starts.  Extra crew members should probably buy a week pass at the end of the road.

(If anyone finds an error in the above, please set us straight here.)

Cool thanks!  Most of us already have memberships and buttons.  Just making sure they have access to find us on Sat/Sun.

Any extra week passes can be bought at lands end on the the way in. Extra crew wrist bands can be done at the trailer by the tech area, they just sign their name & the race number, no extra charge.

I heard a rumor it was $5 per wrist band this year, trying to make up for lost funding and cover extra expenses?  I'm glad to pay it if it helps.

I would find it insulting if they squeeze the racers for a few more dollars rather than add a buck at the gate or put $2 more on a program.
