We lost a fantastic "Tin Bender" today.
But Doug Kruse was more than that, he was also an Engineer, Inventor, promoter, and all around good guy. He was inducted into the NHRA legends of drag racing in 2015. He also earned his Master Degree at 77 years young. He spent many years heading up the Southern California Chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers. Then started to complete his dream of building a Bonneville streamliner.
Godspeed Doug Kruse, & Thanks...

Wow---thanks for sharing Mike!

A true Renaissance man.
A great personal loss to yours truly!

Wow! He was obviously very talented looking at the liner pic. What is the engine, is it a BRM?
Sid.

Mike, I am so sorry. I had hoped to see the car in person and meet Doug, but I remember you telling me that it may not happen for his health was not good. I know you guys were really close. Rest in Peace, Doug...
