I see some chatter a few years ago about line jumping. Through dumb luck, I have a low line up number for this coming weekend. Are there officials in place to ensure some semblance of line up order?
-
Yes they call them up in number groups.
-
And within the number groups?
-
The line-up number you have now, if it's low, is based on your May performance. The number you may have enjoyed in May was based on 2016 performance, but that went away for the June meet.
If I remember right, you ran out of the rookie line, and won't now. There are groups of 25 called up, and it's courteous to to try to assemble in some sort of numerical order. (You can't wait forever for the guy in front of you to show up -- he may not be running at all in the June meet.)
-
It is also important to not leave your car/bike unattended while in line or someone will go around you if the line starts moving. Funny how people will put there car inline and walk away.
-
It would be nice if people didn't crowd the line up area waiting for their number to be called. It is hard to know who is in line and who is there on spec.
-
Were did you find the line up order?
Thanks,
-

Wasn't just dumb luck. There's actually a point accumulation system. It's all covered in the El Mirage Procedures. Wasn't this covered in your Rookie Orientation?

Oh, I know why it happened. Still lucky.
