Title: Mojave Mile cancellation
Post by: dw230 on March 07, 2017, 11:20:11 AM
I thought I had read a post from Mike Borders that all 2017 events were cancelled. The Big Red Camero wrote on their Face Book page that they will be running there in April.

What is the true story?

Big Red is running in another promoter's event that took our date after we announced our 1-year hiatus.

We will be back in 2018 with a revised event format that we think everyone will like, and will be more user-friendly to LSR and El Mirage-configured cars.  We learned a lot in our "rookie season" at Bonneville last year, and lots of that knowledge will translate to our future asphalt events.

Meantime, we are hard at work preparing our RMRoadster to capture two more records this year with our blown "H" motor, as well as bringing the TFA Lakester and our blown 1000cc naked bike out for some fun, too!  We can't wait to get back to the salt -- definitely addicted!   :-D

Mike,

What is the other organization that will be running in April?

John,

It will be an invitation-only event and as I understand it, no bikes are allowed.

BTW, do you still have that roadster you set the Bonneville/ElMo H/BGRMR and H/BFRMR records with back in '07?   Hmmm.....those are the classes we will be running in this year!   :-D
