Title: need advise on stagger wheel base width

We are putting together a 1959 MGA roadster, the rear diff that we are thinking about using is 6 inches narrower then the front axle. The rear wheels will tuck in behind the body, so we are thinking no issues.   thoughts anyone?

Airflow along the side of the body is smoother with the wheels closer to the skin.

Not a problem handling wise but not filling the wheel well will increase drag.

Can you use wheel offsets or insets as necessary to bring the wheels even with the body and then cover the wheels with Moon disks?

3 inch wheel spacers might be too Cholo for LSR Pete! :-D

I agree. I was thinking more of doing a lot of it with the wheel center in the rim, that would of course depend on the rim width and configuration. You might then be able to do a little with spacers.

Might be easier to use a different rear end or retube and use different axles.

I'm thinking a 2" wheel offset with a 1" spacer -- who's to know or criticize?

(How narrow could it be to not fill up an MGA?)
