Oh boy time is passing car has no engine still have some tin work to do an oil gauge to hook up and assemble another flathead for the car. Looks like a lot less sleep is in order.

I need to get going myself. Mostly ready to run, just need to do some finishing touches.
We are trying a few new things with timing so I have been out there getting that ready. Course looks good

Losing sleep, you say? Look what I did a week or so ago.

I got it started using the starting rollers after not running for at least 6 months. It turned over really hard so when it did start, I didn't want to let go of the throttle. I reached over the bike with my left hand (clutch hand) and pulled the shifter to get it into neutral, but I pulled too hard and it went into 1st. Apparently, the layshaft couldn't take the acceleration required to bring the wheel down to speed and it snapped a tooth which jammed between the layshaft and the mainshaft sleeve gear forcing the layshaft down - - - clear thru the bottom of the cases.
Needless to say I need some parts - - - like new cases, layshaft, sleeve gear, etc - - - and a bunch of machining of the cases to fit the oversize bore. Parts are on the way and expected by Thursday, giving me the weekend to put it back together.

If any one can get it together, it is you.

Leaving in the morning for a leisurely 2 day drive up to Loring. I plan on getting into Presque Isle around 1:00 PM Thursday and will head over to the track after getting checked into the hotel.
As per usual, I will be taking pics and will start a separate thread for that.
Audio streaming will begin Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings after the drivers meeting and will start a separate thread for that as well.

Good day today. Hussain was the fastest @ 261.1 on a bike. Fastest car I think was Ron Kesowlowski at 222, going off memory and was doing 100 other things so I could of missed something.
Ralphie Navarro absolutely shattered the previous record on his BMW S1000RR @ 218 and he did it twice.
