I think Nancy's already got that weekend reserved -- for her and four other girls to go on a weekend extravaganza a couple of hundred miles from home. Attention guys in the Appleton area: Mark the dates on your calendars -- five hotties from the UP will be on the prowl.
And Slim'll be at home, tending to the fire and the cats, and wondering why he didn't get the plane tickets to Sweden BEFORE Nancy made her plans. Best wishes for a safe and fun event. :cheers:

Our ice is looking very good, and only one month left to the event.
I have decided to give my rocket sled another shot - it blew up a couple of years ago, and has been mothballed. Lets hope it makes it to the finish line

Svarthålet Racing is upping the pace with their new valved pulsejet sled, 2000N of thrust and their goal is 200km/h. They ran 184km/h with 1600-1700N thrust last year so it should be doable.

Nice video, Anders. :cheers: That looks like fun- racing on ice. I guess that's the way Vikings do it; we race on salt- not as cold but still fun.

The crew at landracing.se have really outdone themselves this year, the weather gods have been kind as well so the track conditions couldn´t possibly be better.
You need to understand what kind of commitment it takes to hold an event like this, the arrangers have been preparing the lake constantly since it froze some time around christmas to make it this good. It it easy to think that you only push the snow away a couple of days before the race but the ice needs lots of experienced work to become this solid and flat without developing cracks and potholes.
Race starts in a couple of hours, wish us all here on the lake the best of luck and that no one gets hurt.

I couldn't earlier, I got the same message as you but now it plays fine. Maybe the restriction got changed.

We had trouble all day with loss of oil pressure, we will have to redesign the whole oil system with a better designed oil tank, a 12V oil pump instead of the unstable 4-stroke pump and all oil lines redirected so there cannot be any air trapped in the system.
The jet kick is in one piece and Olov ran 139.2km/h which is way better than we have done before so we are satisfied!
