And we've got our copies. too.

I'm going to offer a plea to all of us:  Do your level best in the coming year -- to patronise the many firms and organisations that put ads in the program.  Landracing.com/Kudos Engraving is just one of them.  We buy ads in the Book to spread the word of our business, yes, but also to show some $$ support for the SCTA/BNI by spending the ad money with them.  The ads aren't expensive compared to being in a big-time mag -- like Hot Rod or maybe The Donkey Farmer's Journal or so on - but still, for lots of the shops in the program even a small ad is an expense that needs to be recovered - somehow.  That somehow is by having folks buy stuff - or at least having them know that they could buy from the advertiser next time the product or service is needed.

With SpeedWeek cancelled -- lots of potential customers - the spectators, for sure - won't be seeing the ads.  That leaves us to help the sponsors get through the next year.  Do what you can and shop the businesses that are supporting land speed racing.

Thanks.  Okay -- off my soapbox and back to the computers.

Thanx, SSS.  The SCTA-BNI is doing their best to get the programs to their most valuable audience -- the SCTA and BNI members.

Here's the caption for the cover . . .

With both SpeedWeek and World Finals cancelled in 2014 by course conditions, the only SCTA record-setting opportunity was the USFRA’s World of Speed.  And everything didn’t always go right there, either, as witnessed by Thomas “Pork Pie” Graf’s photo of Andy Nish in the Nish & Poteet C/Gas Roadster.

And the cover for those of you who might want to buy one from the SCTA . . .

Chris, do you suppose they spin counterclockwise down under?  :-o :?

Chris, do you suppose they spin counterclockwise down under?  :-o :?

Woody, let's apply science.

We need to establish an incontrovertible, repeatable and documentable northern hemisphere baseline.

Stan, in which direction do you usually spin?  :-D

Coriolis effect or shifter placement issues may have an effect on which side of your roadster you start unwinding your chute from, or which door panel requires disinfectant due to centrifugal force, but it could just be a personal preference.

By the way - my program arrived today - well done, Jim - pass on our thanks to the "people that made it happen", and to Pork Pie!  And thanks for sending them out - it's a cost that I don't think you needed to bear this year, but I'm grateful to have it.

Freud,

I catch the whole dance...app.30 picture.....thanks to the today digital technologie I have not to count anymore the number of picture...

I view them all and thought that this one would be the right one for the cover.....need only the right trim that it works for the cover size.....very simple

By the way, Andy Nish done a great job behind the steering wheel, he worked this situation out like an old pro

Speaking of programs . . .

For those of you that have never seen the annual SpeedWeek Program, here's a sample.  There are over 500 pre-entries featured with text about the models and engines, along with a great picture of the vehicle.  It's 156 pages -- most like the page featured here -- along with advertisements from the suppliers you want to get to know.  If you want to see what the various classes look like -- and who's the competition -- go to the SCTA website and order yours today for only $10.

(That was a commercial -- I know, I used to write them.)

Yea, print the page with #369, Waters-Manghelli-Romero /BFR on it. Oh you can't, something happened between the paying of the entry fee and the printing of the program.

DW --

Two people checked that ALL pre-paid entry numbers received BEFORE the deadline were in the book.  I guess something bad happened to leave out the famous #369.  Don't know what.

Is it just me or does that cover pic pretty well sum up Bonneville racing in 2015?  Looking good and ready to race but the car's wrapped up in the chute.  :-(

Yeah, well -- sorta.  Pork Pie told me about the photo and I know that if you look closely you can tell the tires (at least the RR) is turning backwards and kicking up a tad of salt.  Andy got his baptism under fire - and did pretty well, didn't he?

But year - it does represent a lot of Bonneville's travails in the last year or two, doesn't it?
