Title: Fall fuel
Post by: edinlr on August 27, 2015, 11:34:20 PM
Has anyone been able to reach Scott Beaulieu?  I am trying to call him to order fuel for the harvest race.  I hate to have to pay a "corkage fee" if I have to go out and scrounge up my own race gas.

We don't seal tanks at Loring. Scott is not selling fuel for this event. We have some available, what do you want? I can put your name on it if you want.

My mistake, I get the rules and forums confused sometimes.  I will just run 93 octane pump gas, since that is what we tuned the bikes to run on.

I asked this very same question to Tim Kelly last week when I received his email about no fuel vender at the event. I plan on running in A-CG-750 and have purchased 93 octane from the vender when I have run in "Gas" in the past. His answer and this is a copy of the email is:"You cam run pump gas in gas class" I plan on picking up mine at Dysarts truck stop in Hermon Maine. It's just off I-95 at 530 Coldbrook Road and has Citco 93 octane and is also open 24/7. They move a lot of fuel thru there so it should be fresh. See you next weekend!

I'm bringing a sealed 5gal pail of VP gasoline, and will have someone watch me fill the tank, just for my own sense of propriety.  :-D

LTA stopped sealing tanks 2 years ago.

Glad they stopped sealing, I'll stop by Home Depot and get some toluene to mix with my race gas for my production bike!   :dhorse:
Thanks for the tip on the high octane pump stuff, that's my preference.

Yep, C16. You want me to set a pail aside for you?
