Post by: fredvance on August 27, 2015, 03:22:26 PM
I am going to put this in the Texas Mile section, same people putting it on.

Who is going to the Colorado Mile, Labor day weekend? I will be there with my big motor bike.

Lets use this thread to post results!

Fred,

I believe Dan & Lucille Dunn are going to be there with the NRHS Sportster.

NRHS will be there but we are bringing 2 EBRs.  The sportsters do not have front brakes so those are not allowed.

Put the motor back in the bike before SpeedWeek, added front brakes a week ago, took it for a ride a couple of days ago.... Seems to be working, tried on my leathers.... they shrunk from non-use I guess  but there is plenty of room left in the crotch which will be required for the balls I have to grow to ride that thing to its potential in a mile  :-o

Guess I'm used to the slower pace of Bonneville acceleration
see you there

What a great time we had at the Colorado mile.  On Friday our riders got in over 10 runs each and we sat for 4 hours from 1-4 pm due to a crosswind.  In 3 days our one rider got in 28 passes and the other one did 24 and that was us sitting around in the pits during the middle of each day as it was too hot!  Both bikes ran in the low 170s and the course was awesome!!

I cannot say enough how impressed I was in how fast they ran vehicles through the lines and how organized the event was.

3 days?  :-o
I figured maybe 2.  I'll have to keep this in mind for next year. 3 days would make the trip worthwhile.
