Title: Transferring room reservations?
Post by: Gary Perkinson on June 22, 2015, 05:23:27 PM
Does anyone know if there's an official way to transfer a prepaid room at one of the casinos to another racer? Or do you just basically sell your reservation to someone on your own? And if it's the latter, do the hotels honor it? The hotels themselves haven't been very helpful, so I'm thinking that maybe they don't get involved. Anyone know?

Gary, if you're at one of the casinos, they have a procedure which includes faxing some information to them.

Yeah, I know - who the hell uses a fax machine these days.

Other than that, it's not a big deal - just make sure you have your "T"s crossed and your "I"s dotted.

Thanks, Chris--I'll keep giving them a try...

Gary, if you received confirmation of your reservation via e-mail, I think you'll find the instructions =- or at least a link to the instructions - to do what you're proposing.

Hmmm...I guess the powers of observation are one of the first things to go with age...I now see the "Power of Authorization" link in the e-mail I got...thanks!  :-D

You basically just add their name to the reservation as you have already paid for it.  When they check-in, any charges at check-in and after will be put on their card.  Call reservations and give them the additional name though.  The additional party will pay you for the reservation.       Good Luck..
