Title: First time to Wilmington - June Meet
Post by: Fixgeer on June 01, 2015, 02:38:09 PM
Heading to Wilmington for the first time this weekend.   Raced Speed Week many years and made it to the last Maxton meet.
Im just wondering if there are any recommended hotels or "crackhouses" to stay away from.

Really looking forward to the meet.   Bringing out a 125cc Harley and a 750cc Triumph with my dad.

The Wilmington Inn is a nice Hotel very reasonable room rates if its not sold out. There's a few other chain hotels in town they are also fine. There's even a nice bed and breakfast downtown. Compared to Maxton your in for a big surprise. Wilmington welcomes all the racers the towns people and elected officials go out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Now about the track your going to love the surface and the entire set up.   :-)

Don't forget Cowan lake state campground, full size cabins for less the 100 a night, full kitchen, bathroom porch, grill.
