Recently bought an older set of 18" rear mickey Thompson tires and cut one after first run. Need a replacement or will buy the pair if you have a good set of older Mickeys.
Thanks,

Sorry. 30" OD

John this probably won't help you but it might be of interest to others....
We run Mickey Thompson Bonneville tires at Bonneville & Dunlop tires at El Mirage because of the likelihood of cutting a tire at the lake bed. The Dunlop tire is a bit tougher than the Mickey. As a matter of fact we have a couple of "light cuts" in our Dunlops that would have ruined our Mickey's. Dunlop makes a 30" & a 32" tire useing the same type 18" wheel as the 30" Mickey Thompson does.
The Dunlops have been run over 250 mph at El Mirage if that's a concern.

Thanks for that info. Where do you purchase the Dunlops?
-
Roger Kraus Racing Ent. Castro Valley Ca. 510-582-5031.
All his information is listed in the SCTA Rule Book.
Check out his tire shaving service or contact Nate Jones @ Cowboy Tire (also in the rule book) for shaving.

Thanks all for the information.

The last time I was at Nate .Jjones, Cowboy tire, he had a set of 30" tires that a customer defaulted on, try him.

I did not shave my 32" Dunlops, I only knocked down the edge. They've been 216. Good luck..

Thanks Michael. It's been one long build. Now we gotta get it to speed.
Dan, I will give Nate a call. Thanks

I would still take a single 30" M/T tire if one becomes available.
