that is an informitave clip, however it dosent show much in the area that i question,,

The front fender can be designed to deflect flow onto the main body to get improved streamlining. A fully enclosed half moon fender sure keeps a lot of salt off of the engine and/or radiators.

We split the air as best we can to send it into the engine area for the supercharger one side and oil cooler the other. All designed by rule of thumb as best we can. The rain stopped play this year so it wait till 2015. This clip is very useful, thanks for posting it.

I vote for no air inside.
Ever play pinball?
Imagine the ball is a molecule of air. Lightly shoot the ball so it doesn't quite go over the top. It rolls smoothly back around to the plunger, right?
Now take a full shot so it enters the playing area (imagine that as the inside of your bike) and watch it bang off all the bumpers, cushions and flippers and slowly make it's way to the bottom.
Be kind to air molecules. :-D

The air going into ours can come out the top and the back. Yes it can bump into a few things but from the salt spray inside the fairing it's not hitting much.
