Title: Lee Gustafson?
Post by: entropy on August 21, 2014, 07:58:38 AM
Guys,
While fiddling around in the parking lot of the Rainbow with our untried blue lakester, I had a very informative discussion on Lakester engines with Lee Gustafson.  He provided me with some materials but i didn't get his contact info
If someone could provide him with my email; guntekd@gmail.com, I would very much appreciate it
Thanks,
Karl Gunter

I'm sure you can reach him through Seth Hammond's Specialty Crane Co.   (805) 907-4567

Michael,
I didn't hear from him, but I am horrible at (not) being attached to my cell.
This is not an emergency, and in fact will be an imposition on him.
I got very comfortable with my NA bike motors, but I am almost completely ignorant about car engines and want to start up the learning curve.  Someone to point me in the right direction, "Karl, go read this link...",  someone to help me frame the issue.

The TFA lakester did great at WOS we are revved up, but what's next wrt hp?
Heck, I don't even know what questions to ask.
Karl

Karl, sit down, I'm about to do it to you again  :-o  here goes...  :-D

Check this thread

Tom has a couple of motors for sale, check reply 48 for the best deal going....
That will give you a couple of pretty good options... run the numbers through one of Sumner's calculators and see how that works with your aero numbers.

OK, your wallet hates me... I'll deal with it

And don't be concerned about my wallet.
Whenever it gets too full, i just send another box of money to Washington.
Did you know that one of our rights as American citizens is that we are NOT RESTRICTED in sending money to the USA Treasury by the yearly amount of our rax liability.
We can send as much as we want, as often as we want!!!!

I heard about that but my wallet was never that full, seems the government helps themselves to all they want already  :-o
Well that's two of us thinking the same thing on motors, I'm just impressed that I had a thought similar to TB, he's a smart guy  :-D
