Been collecting parts now, for quite a while.
I picked up the frame table from Skip Pipes, today.
Bought my trans parts from Willi at Kraut Bros Racing, a short while ago.
A friend mentioned I should start with an AA frame, so I found one out of Hemet.
Removed the cross members and stored it as I searched for everything else.
I've found all the sheet metal, just have to make the upper rear deck panel.
Also having mandrels made for the bead roller, to get the right shape, for that upper panels reveals.
The 400 sbc is in the machine shop, getting align bored and honed, now also.
Starting off with a production 400 block, so it won't be competitive in B/StR's, 203mph record.
But it'll be a good start to learn the Enderle8Stack Injection, get thru rookie orientation and do a little licensing.
I have some pics on my external hard drive an on my phone. I'll sort thru everything and post the other pics I have, soon.

The owner of the AA frame had a boom crane, to help load that heavy thing. Getting it out if the truck, took six people.
-
Hi J,
Great start with that frame.
Put the table to good use and take your time. You've got an excellent mentor, put him to good use. I'm excited to watch your progress, so keep us updated.

Definitely will. Thanks Skip. Was having difficulty posting pics last night. I'm going to have to get used to this forum. It's a little different than the hamb. I'll get it, soon enough.Adding images, seems to be easier with my phone. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/06/te3uqyva.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/06/nu9ary3y.jpg)

Some rdstr qtrs I found, with the new patch panels already welded in, unfortunately. I'll undo all the horrible atrocities, and try to un-fudge, what's already been done. Lucky I know a bodyman(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/06/a7ege7a7.jpg)

AFRs and the Enderle

Very cool. Looking foward to watching your progress. Question though, whats an AA frame?
-
The Mdl AA was Ford's heavy truck line. Same mdl A trk cab, on a heavy duty frame.
-
Jay, I can't believe you went to the dark side-roadster! Lol!
Knowing your talents, I can't wait to see this build!
-
My dad had a rdstr, when I was a kid. That's how he met Stan Back. So I really didn't have a choice. It was written.

Picked up the dies, earlier. They came out nice.

Started on removing the overlapping material, where they tried to weld in the new patch panels.

Put a little time in today. Welded in a strip, which makes more work. But I didn't want to deal with such a big gap.
Shrunk the woopy.. that's always fun

Those dies, saved me a lot of time and curse words. A little more than an hour, in it, with some hammer work. An I'm happy with the panel.

I don't think I'll have much more time involved, but something tells me I probably will

Thanks Mike. I'm Jay . Appreciate that.
Bone head mistake yesterday. Grinding an ended up with steel in my eye. Off to the ER, to get the boulder out. It was so small, it wouldn't even show up on my camera. Glad it's out , an I'm the proud new owner of some spiffy new goggles.
Never again
-
ouch!
-
Jay, I've had that happen once, a bunch of times. I've found goggles, or the glasses that have the spiffy shields on the sides prevent it from happening.
Although I did have one instance where I was doing a lot of work. Safety glasses and all. A few days later my eye was bothering me, and sure enough, somehow one of those little pieces of shrapnel found its way around my glasses.

Jay, that's a bad one. I'm a two time loser. That pain is worse than anything I've experienced. The headache that comes with it is a nasty one. When the doctor finally removed it he put it on a white piece of paper. It looked like a fine short hair. My missus says "all that for something so small". The doctor says lady, that is one of the biggest foreign bodies I've removed in a long time.
I bought el cheapo motocross goggles because the normal glasses aren't as good as I thought. The last missile hit my cheek and bounced off the inside of the lens and then into my eye.
I hope you feel better.

ouch!
More irritating than anything. It could have been so much worse

I picked up splash proof goggles. So we'll see

There is a bike shop, right down the street from me. The cheap goggles sounds like a good idea.

This makes me smile. Put a little time in, earlier..
