One of the many many perks of working 14 hour days out in the hot sun is every once in a while someone is nice enough to give you a little swag. One such piece of swag I got was a shirt that said www.runs-on-salt.com on it. I got home, gave it a wash, tried it on and it fits nicely. Decided to check out the site and was impressed by the quality of the pics. So, with that, give it a go: http://www.runsonsalt.com/
BTW what I really like about looking at such nice pics is that it's almost like being there and although it's barely been a month, I wish I were there again now.

That site doesn't open
-
Worked for me!
-
It opened just fine for me Glen, and it's worth getting it to open. The pictures are great.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention Nathan.

It's working now. great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
-
Thanks for the link!
-
Thanks! The "spectator car" photos are great too.
-
I tired to order some pictures but no replys? :?
-
The first one works, the second one probably doesn't because it's incorrect. The hyphens make all the difference.
EDIT: I just clicked on both links and they both work. Maybe just an Internet glitch?
Make sure you check out Simon Davidson's stuff as well. He won't have a gallery up from this year, but plenty from previous events.

Thanks for the great pictures. I've purchased from you before. good stuff......Tim

I just checked both. Great photos. Thanks for the links.

Just for kicks, here's a little video I slapped together last night of a few cars leaving the line. There's something about the openness of the salt and the sound of the engine as it roars off into the distance.

Great video!
(The B/GR record was 232, so the Harris car would not have qualified at 215.)
-
Ah poop. Not sure how I missed it as I put ALL of the results into an Excel spreadsheet (that was a mission in itself...) and just noticed they went 233.814 on Monday. Probably because I do this stuff in the middle of the night! :)
I'll put a comment in the video or something. Cheers Stan Back.

Hey Brootal, I just watched it. Excellent work man. I just loved the sound of those motors. Thanks a bunch.

I think everyone will agree, the sound of a motor winding out on a dry lake is like nothing else.

My pleasure, amigo.

Ray, the photos are great, all of them. I understand what you mean about bad manners. That's selfish stuff they did. I've never been to site where the pics open so fast. Just beautiful, what a pleasure. Thanks so much. Mikey.
-
Did many of you let Ray know how much you liked and appreciated his photo work - and his trips to report on the conditions at the salt? I did. Now it's your turn.
-
Ray - Your as good as it gets --- Great photos, good dialog and it seems you're are there whenit matters.
Thanks for all of your effort. Pat Kinne ex777 roadster

Target550 is proud of the contribution Ray makes to our website.
There is absolutely no reluctance to have him do fotos on any part
of any post. He also has the final word on editing every post.
His photographic understanding is a needed part of the website.
The hours he spends photographing all of the events on the salt
gives him an advantage that can only be described one way: experience.
We are most fortunate to have him as one of us.

Ray- G'day from Oz. Thank you for the fantastic photos- a donation is on the way; it will come through as "John" Carroll (not Denis) I am building a C4 here in Oz, and the vette photos are very helpful- especially the V-A 3838 - I just love that car.

Besides kool shirts, Ralph Komives is a great photographer...even if he DOES drive a Mustang. :-D Here's the link for the 2013 SW http://www.runs-on-salt.com/2013/2013_Bonneville_Speed_Week_Photos.html (http://www.runs-on-salt.com/2013/2013_Bonneville_Speed_Week_Photos.html)
Ohh...and he's a real nice guy.

I finally got around to uploading some of my pics to my new and improved website. There's only a couple of hundred, so if you're sick of wrapping Christmas presents, take a break and check them out. :)
