Title: YEARBOOKS!
Post by: Jessechop on September 11, 2013, 11:04:58 AM
If you want one we need to get the ball rolling better than it is. Thank you to those who have submitted info. If you are still working on your info, that's fine. Just let me know so I can make space for you. Oct 1st is the ultimate deadline, if possible sooner, and again just let me know if you are working on it, need time, whatever.

Orders, lots say they want them, few actually step up. If I don't see some life in this by Sept. 15th I will axe the idea. I really hate to do that, and I am largely to blame with such a small window to get it all done. If time frame is the issue just let me know, we can plan on a 2014 year book. If you order and the book is axed I will refund your payment immediatley

Price is $25 for soft cover, $7 each shipping. $35 each for hard cover if I get enough orders to split the order. I will refund you the difference if we don't get enough to split, or if everyone is ordering hardcovers and no soft covers we can drop the soft covers. Again, only if I don't get enough to split the order. At first it seemed interest was enough to split, now I am not so sure.

Also forgot to add, if you want to do a 2014 yearbook I can do that cheaper. Frank Johns wife has stepped up to help me, printing costs would be less. It just wasn't the best timing for that  for this year mainly because I didn't want to loose what I had already done, and it wouldn't be fair to dump all of this in her lap with such a short window. Roughly speaking we "should" be able to do a 2014 yearbook for around $15-$20

Thanks Frank and Sheri! I may be in touch  :-D

For the rest, I forgot if you are local I will refund your shipping money. If you want more than one I need to send you an invoice, or pay for one and put in a note how many you want and I will send you an invoice.

Just to update everyone. Things are going slowly. The book is coming along nicely, but I need at least 50 orders to make it happen. If we can get close I will cover the rest, I just am trying not to tie up a bunch of money is all.

So as of right now this is my plan. Keep it going as it is, and try for first week of Oct. order. It may be later than that. Basically when I pass 50 I will give it a few days and then submit to the printer. if anyone wants there money back because of what looks like a delay, PLEASE just let me know and I will refund you ASAP.

If everyone else could do me a BIG favor. Ask a couple of your racing buddies who dosnt frequent the forum if they are interested in one. Word of mouth spreads very fast.

Also if you want multiples please let me know so I can invoice you.

Thanks for the understanding and the help!

Order with payment went out in today's mail.  I should have time to get an email with more details to you before it gets there.

Well folks, something I hate to do but I am pulling the plug on the yearbook. With those that have paid and those I told to hold up on paying it didn't even pass half way of what was needed to make it happen. Time to face the music...

I will be sending out refunds today to those who paid. If you have mailed me payment and I am yet to receive I will return it when it gets here. As of right now I only have one mailed in payment, rest were paypal.

I thank everyone of you that supported this and I apologize for it not taking off. It was an idea that should of been executed a lot sooner and to more people. I take full blame and hope everyone understands.

See you at the 2014 Harvest Event.
Will try to not let the John Deere thing happen again.

Hey Jesse - thanks for giving this your best shot.  It's a great idea and I am sure that it will really take off next year.

Hey thanks for the effort Jesse.  Scootergrubs shoots all the still action pictures for the AMA/BUB speed trials and puts out a year book every year that is top notch, made up at a place called Blurb.  You can even put the persons picture on the cover if they want. The place is called Blurb.  You may want to check them out - looks like they may be easier for you to deal with since I believe that orders of just about any size can be made.
Scooter is a great guy and I am sure he'd help you out if you contacted him.
Here are both links -

Hope this helps you out
