The car appears to have turned out really nicely John. I'm sorry to see that you're not planning on running it.

Pixs of prewired nitrous controller and clutch.

John I have some interest in your car. Could I get your phone number. Thanks
-
My number is 410 757-1994

I've watched this car go together over the past couple of years. The engineering and construction are first class. The engine a beast- 850+. Would be a shame to subject it to the salt unless you were willing to take every part from every other part after to clean it but would be a worse shame to not have it run. John has said he has built it as a pavement LSR and I surely hope it gets there and I could see it run. Someone step up!!

Jack. Tnxs for comments. She is the one in the middle. John.

For anyone looking for an engine, this motor can now be sold separately as an excellent deal.
Among its numerous premium features, importantly, it has new Hendrick valve springs.
-
A front view pix.
-
John, after all that work you really need to run it...
-
GH. You posted many photos of your car and they were most helpful during my build, same for Hooley and Charles's construction threads - tnxs. There a good side, someone could get a nice little car, it was fun, and I learned many lessons. John.

Pix of open steel hood; new FG hood unfitted.

A pix yesterday at Capital Raceway.

If you are looking to go land speed racing, you can get a great deal on this car and save yourself a lot of work, time, and money.
-
Pixs of gun-drilled 40s and third member.
-
John. Thanks for added pix. Any chance of seeing f/r suspension?
Thanks. Jeff

The pixs show the basic front-end with coil-overs taken a few months ago; I have other pixs of the details.

Titled LSR 1953 Studebaker, looking for a good home offers considered
-
So how did it fare at Capital? ET / Speed?
-
I took it to the track for checkout testing only, dove it around pits, everything seems fine, drives like a Honda, no lurching with the 5 speed, set-up work needed as the car is new, engine is not for the faint hearted, intended to drive down following weeks but it rained, car is set for land speed with 3.50 road race gear so drag racing would require a 4.56-5.13 gear change. R. John.
-
John,
Maybe I missed it, but what is the price you are asking?
Thanks,
Tom G.
-
Tom.
It is hard to put a number on this car, but I will discuss price if you call me on 410 757-1994 or give me your phone number. I am really seeking for a good home ; the price is good if someone is looking for a LSR 1953 Studebaker.

John,
You have a very nice car and have done a great job. I cannot support the two LSR cars I have, but if I could afford another car I would be interested, but I cannot.
Only reason I asked the price is it might encourage someone to give you a call, as you might not want as much for the car as some might think.
I hope you get a buyer.

Tom.
TNXs for your help.
That is true, I am hoping for a good home and the price is below what someone would think.
If I do not sell it, I will probably compete (for fun) the car in spring ECTA with Steve Kramer driving. Steve Kramer is the professional builder of my car, drives a Pro-Modified Fulton 832 cu-in (230-mph quarter mile), and is a stellar builder and driver.

Attached are a few under-construction pixs showing the body and frame structure.

Off to a good home.

John, You have done an amazing job on the Stude. The new owner will have a shorter
learning curve starting out with such a great car.

Merry Christmas to you, John, and also to the new owner!! I hope to see the car run Wilmington sometime in the near future. Jeff
