Title: #775 Returns to Bonneville 2013
Post by: Frenchinjection on July 10, 2013, 10:11:22 AM
Last year we did one run an trashed the supercharger.  This year we have done quite a bit to stop this and made the bike a bit more streamlined.

For Hellcat and others.  The engine s basically a Triumph T120 with 750cc big bore, LF Harris cases, Billet twin plug head,  Billet crank, billet rods, MAP 10.5:1 pistons, Rotrex C30-94 supercharger, Ice water intercooler pump fed from a 5 gall tank.  Drinking methanol through Enderle constant flow injection.  Power is through an Air shifted GSX1100 gearbox modified for Belt primary drive with Sintered Iron slider clutch.  A Schnitz Pro2 Ignition sets fire to it and a RacePak V300 data logger tells us what went wrong. Front faring is based on KZ1200 pro stock bke mold modified for height & length. The front guard, front splitter and rear bodywork are all hand made.

There is not much Triumph left.

Good luck Steve. From even that one run you could see it has all the attributes to go very fast indeed!

Title: Update - #775 Returns to Bonneville 2014
Post by: Frenchinjection on May 20, 2014, 02:26:47 AM
I don't have much time for posting to the forums.  Last year we went 157 on the 140 record but did not impound it due to reliability issues.  We kept breaking belts and on one run split th block.  So this year we have a gear primary transmission made from KZ1000 gears and clutch basket spinning last years GSX1100 transmission.  The blocks have been machined from EN24T steel. Frame is now powder coat silver.  New Aeroquip Startlite fuel lines as they don't scratch your skin off when working on it.  Final build pic before it ships to the US.

That will break a record IMO.

Go well and I wish you the best of British. Be safe.

Mike.
