We have been hard at it since we got home from speedweek. Finished the chop and got the body mounted on chassis. The rear is finished- 4 link on a quickchange.
-
Wicked looking Stude. Please keep posting!
-
Is this gonna be faster than One Run's
What motor are you planning
Nice chop, more pictures please

Please do not let One Run II bother you, it is a good looking car. Good luck.

Here is a pic of the frame on the jig. We looked a buying a back half but decided to build our own. Happy with the way it came out and used the money we saved on the 4-link setup.

It looks great. I like using that type of jig. It allows relatively easy access just about everywhere and you can leave the chassis on the jig until it's almost fully welded. You can also do most of the suspension on the jig.

Don,
It's good to see you posting here for all to see. You and Cliff have done a great job . I look forward to seeing it running this summer. I too like that chop top. I will try to post a pic of the chopped top.

Thanks you have been a great help. The car is coming along. The trans came in this week(G-Force). The cage will be here Monday. Alot to do but (It's all fun). More pics to come.
-
Hooley, thanks so much for the kind comments. Being able to talk with you and look at your car has made this so much easier for us. We still have a long way to go but we can't wait to get some salt on this old Studebaker! Hope your AA project is coming together well, I know you are going to put up a big number. Good luck in all you do, be safe.

We started on the cage last weekend. Got one from Art Morrison. It is a 12 point but we will be adding a funny car section and alot of bracing. It should have a note with it (Some assembly required). It's all fun.
-
This is the front view. We are thinking about making the scoop go to the roof line. Can't see around it as is. May help the areo. May input? We will be running an SB2 engine with a G force transmission and a winters quickchange. We have listened and asked alot of questions. Input has been great. Land speed racers are the best on earth about sharing info. We are building a drivetrain as strong as possible. This will be a c motor on gas but who knows what may come in the future. It's all fun
-
Hay guys it's looking good.
Please look at the rule book about the scoops. It seems like there is something about how they fit to the windshield. Be sure and check the high maximum too. Being blown allowed us the higher scoop.
Just don't want you to have any surprises.
Don't let up,
