Title: PC Class Clerification/Understanding..... Help Needed
Post by: summer heat on September 20, 2012, 11:09:23 AM
ok... a little dazed and confused on the new Production Classic class.

I followed as best I could from Indiana the 2012 BUBS action.  Have reviewed the newly posted run logs and am not seeing this PC classification.

From another thread " The new classic class is going to be very large,so they will hold off the RWB folks Sunday."  so I was expecting volumes of runs/attempts/records on all the open PC classes.

I was excited to hear of this PC and am tooling for 2013, but am confused at lack of action or am I missing something.

Thank you anybody for help in understanding this.

Chapter 12  paragraphs D page 45  - - -  N - O - P & Q pages 48 - 49 - 50 should answer your questions.  All in the 2012 AMA/BUB Suplimental Regulations.
You can easily down load a copy if you don't have one yet.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for both the replies... I started this new one thinking the other might get lost since it was just a reply.

I got to focused on the "PC" thinking that classification needed to be the one.  CG it is and will now re-read run logs

Thanks again for your help.

OK Summer Heat. If your still onboard to these threads what engine size class are you going for in "CG" I'm 358cc and would need to run with 500.  Chris

Too bad, competition is what makes LSR racing... setting an open record means you were able to run down the track... you just set the minimum

breaking anothers record means you were able to build something that went faster than the other guy...

That's the racing part... maybe that is the difference between time trials and racing.

Just my opinion

OK I won't worry about Summer Heat. And yes your right Stainless , But to hold a record even for 5 minutes on 1st ever ride at Bonnieville has got to be priceless as I can see this is not a cheap adventure. My wife Sandy will be the rider, turning 75 years young next year.

Stainless..... couldn't agree more.  Just answering his class question.  My first trip to the salt was 2009 for RWB with my 1976 KZ900 and fell in love with the adventure.  Going to bring the sister bike a 1977 KZ650 for an attempt at AMA but more importantly to experience impound :)
