Title: What would you do?

I have a close friend who is Iraq, but lives in Canada.

There was a stray dog hanging out at their base.  Yesterday, orders were to find it a home or shoot it.

Islamic countries consider dogs dirty, hard to find a home.  Bullets are $.05 each.

He buys a dog carrier and ships it back home to Canada.

Way to go Simon!  He's a diesel racer, that's how I know him, and he's been to our house many times.

One particulaly good man and one very lucky dog. Hope your friend is back home safe and sound soon as well.

Seems like every FOB in Iraq (Foreward Operating Base.) had a mascot. Me being an "Animal" person (2 Bloodhounds... most beautiful dog in the world!) it would break my heart every time I saw a stray. If I could have I would have sent them all home to my house.
