We are here, have audio ouput, mostly the CB channel, with a little honky ton, blue grass, and blues in the background, when I can get the speakers to work. I hope someone is posting picturtes.
-
"meridix" in your search engine gets to our webcast host. On their homepage, search for "Landracing" and today's live link should come up.

Sitting here in Prairie Village, Kansas listening to LSR in Wilmington, Ohio. Someone just went 192! :-) and another at 179.725 now 3232 beginning the run and through the lights at 136.650.
Thanks Moxnix!
The Landracing logo is on the front page of meridix.com
I do not know if this link will get you there:

My background audio is cutting in and out. But the CB seems to be strong. The mic I brought is not omni, multi-directional, and is not picking up the engine sounds through the timing lights. Something else to find at a pawn shop or on Craigslist. Piedmont blues cutting in and out. Gack!!!!!!!
-
Thanks for this. I am stuck at home wishing I was there. At least I can listen . Suprising how many numbers I recognize. This is fun
-
Next best thing to being there!
Del and the Black Lightning 1952... on audio
-
Was glitching on Del and The Boys. I'll play it again and then switch to Milwaukee Midgets band, Honkytonkitis....... Wind picking up, shut off the mic to avoid that noise, here we go again....
-
Sounds better. Just a little static hum.

-
Souds pretty good down here Moxnix. Here goes Das Bullet. picture a little fuzzy though. 191.653 for da bullet. working on Amy's car not the race.
-
I switched out the single JBL speaker for a set of JBL stereo speakers and still pick up the hum. Twisted all the connectors, piddled here and there, still can't remove the buzz in the audio. Had the 3G hotspot stop working for awhile, had to reset all three laptops.
Beautiful weather, winds died down from a buffeting head/side wind.
I should have brought a multiple CD changer instead of this old Nakamichi single player. Oh, someday it will work fine and keep going all day.

Try switching the ground lift on the AV1-A. Sounds like an isolation issue.
-
Oh, also, check to see if there is a ground lift switch on the mixer you're using. It's a Realistic, and I believe it's made by the same folks that make the Gemini mixers. The ones I have at work have a ground switch.

I was the first entrant down the track in my black SS Silverado production class pickup last month. Even with the 42 degree temp and the 25 mph sustained winds and dodging the rain it was still a great time. I have congestive heart desease and take a lot of medication and because of this I cannot tolerate hot weather and high humidity at all so I couldn't take a chance entering in June. I check the weather in Wilmington this morning and it looks like maybe low 70's and clear, sure wish I was there and if anyone sees or knows if a truck is running B or C/PP and runs over 134 mph make a post please.

Buzz is gone, Max.

So is the blues, unless they've slipped into my pocket.

Is the yellow and black coupe a modified sports car or a competition coupe?
-
Woody, I thank you very much for the photos. It's a rainy weekend in Michigan's upper peninsula - and you've helped bring a bit of sunshine and fun to the dreary days. Between you - video - and Max - audio - it's darned close to being there in person. We've got a family wedding later this month -- and that's using up the available travel time. And -- my grandson graduates from high school tomorrow -- and I learned, in Grandpa school, that guys of my age are NOT to miss the graduation of grandsons. So now you know why Nancy and I are here, not a Wton. Thanks again for the photos.
-
Is the yellow and black coupe a modified sports car or a competition coupe?
It runs in J/FS and it's for sale! :-o
Glad you like the pix Slim! I'll get some more tomorrow!
-
Thanks woody, is the vehicle an alcohol funny car?
-
Mr. kitchen said there was a car timed at 356mph is this true? Thanks again for the pictures, anyhow anymore info on top speed for saturday would be awesome
-
I think Stan posted that number in jest -- and told you to contemplate it.
-
Indubitaby; I certainly mulled it over and still decided that the aforementioned statement wasn't a droll
-
Hey Slim, hate to bother you but did you ever come up with a layout and a price on the plaques we discussed a few weeks ago.
Garrell Patterson
-
No, I haven't. I'm sorry/happy to say that we've been plenty busy at Kudos Laser -- and not only yours, but also the long-awaited Jack Dolan plaques for Bob Drury are still in the inbox of the computer. Garrell, I hope your request is easy to find - so I can dig it out and act on it. I know I've got Bob's saved. Right now I'm in the process of making 500 dog tags for the "Marquette Mountain Mud Fun". Double-sided tags - so that means 1,000 individual laserings. I'm building a jig to hold a bunch of the tags in place - but een that's a pain in the kiester.
I'll get to it, really I will.
Back to the Wton thread, okay?
-
No rush Slim, whenever you get the time. I sent you the info classes, times and names but if you can't find the info let me know and I will round it up again.

Rider overshot the end of the course, , no details, all stopped, could be awhile.
-
Howdy on a Sunday morning, young feller. Is the audio on? I get nothing up here in the great wet north. . .
-
Nothing coming in to go out. Driver meeting at the starting line after the M/C crash.
-
Two hour delay for accident investigation.
-
RIP fellow rider....
-
I'm back to audio, rubbing two sticks together to make it work. Honkytonkitis on the speakers, maybe a little loud. I have no information on the incident, by choice, stayed by the timing trailer and out of the way. It's cast a somber mood. If, after the racing resumes, it becomes hot lapping for lack of participants, they may stop at 3.
-
71 degrees, sunny, a bit of wind. The wrecker is down at the end of the track, still not cleared to go. A bit of early Tom Waits on the machine.
-
Hopefully, for our next visit to a mile event, we'll have a list of vehicle numbers and drivers to interject into the audio when the vehicle leaves the starting line and before it comes through the traps and speed is announced. I suspect you don't tune in for music and the sound of my aging voice cackling. Again, it's the best seat in the house when they're running, across from the lights, the best noises to enjoy. Lots of good comments on the new track, the town right outside the gates, etc.
Still, I have a taste for a little salt in my diet.
One fellow with a Bonneville 200 club jacket here. Warner Riley. He came down from Chicago with Jeff Bailey of S&S. I'll post a photo when back at the ranch.
-
Soon.
-
We decided to load up and head home. I was at the registration table when they called for fire rescue. I didn't know the rider who was killed, but the accident made me decide I had a pretty good weekend and could pack it up.
I ran 147.9 on a fresh 1350 pushrod bike. My buddy Gene went 210 and got a hat. This looks like a great venue.

Very sorry to hear off this news...Thoughts and Prayers out to friends and family

I am sorry to hear. Thoughts and prayers go out to the riders friends and family.

May God bless the family and friends of the one we lost today as well as the entire ECTA family because it will affect all of us more than is realized now.
