Hey, is that an Austin Healey rear fender in the background?
That's funny... I was thinking the same thing. I miss my dad's '67 Austin Healey 3000...

Larry is a real student of the art.
You could learn from him.

With the numbers stated, I'm guessing that this is going to be a Maxton entry? I'd be suprised if this record is not slightly higher after this weekend. We've seen horsepower not make the grade on other occassions, so hopefully this will have a rider that's familiar with the concrete too. If anyone is going to surpass Dave and Lauren's record they're going to need more then good dyno numbers and you sure have the past to show it might be you. Best of luck and can't wait to see it run.... looks cool. When is it going to make it to the track?

Bike is for Bonneville as I feel Maxton's limited time at top speed favors light weight over all the aero work. Going to install the motor in the old turbo frame this Fall so should have a direct comparison between the two courses. I personally think Aero Bonneville will be faster even with the thinner air. Mark and Steve will be at Maxton this weekend with a naked 1000 (Movin' on up, no 600) and the black Busa running MPS/G 1350. 8)

Sure hope to see it at Maxton(and you too again of course). Is the naked 1000cc entry blown or no? Don't believe anyone has run naked fuel(actual fuel, not just the class)... as those records are barely 170(held by Mr. Clean on gas I think). I believe Steve still holds some pretty stout records from ya'll in 2001? Looking forward to seeing what happens this weekend and when you get the 1350 gas bike out. Sure like seeing new stuff from good people like yourself.... thanks for sharing this Larry.

Body about ready for primer. Still figuring out how to contour below the ram-air to block air from reaching the front of the engine. Pics show WW2 type cowling around exhaust to keep the air from cooling the exhaust and supply some streamlining. A megaphone goes on the end.
I have seriously considered putting the Guppy in the fish bowl (A2 Wind Tunnel in Mooresville, NC) but lack the knowledge to know what to test. All aero info is proprietary so A2 will only tell you what you have, not how to improve it. Guess I will let the Great White Tunnel tell me how wrong I am. Larry

Looks great Larry. I look forward to meeting you and seeing the bike in August and watching you set a record :D .
After you set the record and have no further use for the motor we can put it in the lakester  .
c ya in 60+days,

Kick Ass Larry, Steve and Mark!!
-
The Guppy swims. Just a quick test to see if Mark could safely launch the bike as it has minimal steering lock. No problem. The body is not complete as shown as we did not install the inner panel in front of the header, windshield etc. as everything has to be removed for chassis balance. It moves and has fire and flame. See you next weekend.

looks incredible larry. hope you see some big numbers from that scooter.
-
Larry, Mark and Steve, Kick as this year, we will not be there(sold the bike) so make it happen and bring home some records and money!!
Anything you may need let me know!

Coolant tank holds 3 1/2 Gal. Fabricated by Bill Cross who can't make the trip this year.

John Noonan:
Whaddaya mean you won't be there this year? "Sold the bike" -- the turbo bike or the nitrous bike? Do you mean we won't be seeing you at Maxton -- or do you mean you won't be at Bub's? Nancy's busy trying to personalize the firesuit (per your request) you lent her -- we're planning to return it to you 23 September, sweat stains and all.
We're looking forward to seeing you soon. Will Michelle be with you? She needs to keep an eye on your in wild Laurinburg, home of the famous Barbeque Bunch.
