Hello to everyone!
Registration is now open. I figured I would wait until after office hours so none of you get fired for being on the site during the day. Everything looks good for the event.
1) Please be sure to read the directions carefully.
2) If you are new or your information has changed a lot, use the forms to the right.
3) If you are returning from 2011, use the form to the left.
4) If you have more than one vehicle, use the form to the left for each vehicle (after the first for newbies, for all to the left for returns.)
5) I have attached a copy of the limited edition racers pack t-shirt.
There must be some pent up excitement out there because I have had 17 registrations this afternoon before announcing while I was testing the site.
-
I am all registered up for the July event and paid via paypal,,,
very easy this process.
Also check out the $50 Racer Pack,,, 2 limited edition shirts, a hat, stickers etc.. a good deal...

Charles
-
Yes, and charles is going to buy everyone a rulebook!
(his car is on the cover)
-

remember to put yr car/bike number in the comments box if you pay with paypal.
I just registered and forgot, DANG!!
Tim:
Karl Gunter = bike #9639
Thanks
-
Dont worry Carl, sorry Karl, I know who you are. The problem is not when Karl Gunter pays for Karl Gunter, it is when we have someone register and then their sister or girlfriend who lives 200 miles away in a different state sends the payment and there is nothing to determine who they are paying for. This last year there was a list of names on the registration table with 9 names on the left of racers and 7 names on the right of benefactors and we let people play word match. It was great fun.
-
I think the word is out folks. We had 43 entries last night!
If you don't hurry Scott Guthrie and the Frink boys could probably round out the field at any given moment. :-D :-D

are we considering a Sept event this year?

-
I am in! I cant wait. I went last year without my bike, not near as much fun watching.
-
Fred it was good seeing you last year.
Now the fun begins... you can see how fast you can go in a standing 1.5 mile
WITH TRACTION.
See you in July...
Charles
-
Same here Charles. We are going to run two 1.5mi races this year. It should be fun not having to worry about traction.
-

sounds like I did the same thing with july event.
probably should have put " salt wheels racing " under racer name on the entry form.
( instead of bill franey ).

Karl,
I'm in the club also. Didn't put the bike numbers in the comment section. #9539 the 650cc and #9731 the 1000cc. I think I was to happy to be registering. The cams are on the way back to me from Web, so Karl we will see you in Texas with the 600.
Tim,
It was quick and easy. Great job. See you in July.

I am registered for the maine event,,,not the harvest fest yet :?
money is a little tight,,,,most "extra" cash is going into rebuilding my motor that I offered to the gods of speed at the harvest fest last year
-
Just registered after checking to see what the event dates were. Got lazy and forgot to keep up on reg opening up. Got through and seemed happy to take my money so I guess they weren't completely booked. Didn't see any reference to a racer count anywhere.
-
looking forward to seeing you in july, milton.
bill franey
harvest event registration is open also.
-
You too Bill. It has been a while. Milt

Hello Racers,
I have been getting some emails and IMs about registration so I thought i would update everyone. We are well over 100 registered (last count was friday and it was 110).
If you have not registered, or you have friends that have not registered, believe it or not, we are four months and filing up so you might want to get on it.
-
How about Sept.?
-
Registration is back up!
-
Thanks Tim,
I am reserved at the Presque Isle Inn.
See you guys in July.

Hello Racers,
Hard to believe that the Maine Event is only 5 weeks away. I trust that everyone has their plans and their vehicles in order.
1) There are still some spaces left so if you are planning on coming, best get registered. Even if we sell out we will have a waiting list.
2) If you had not heard, we will be running two tracks this year. A 1 mile for shakedown and licensing, and the 1.5 mile for certified runs.
3) Each registration comes with 2 tickets to the Saturday BBQ. If you need more, please go to the store and order them.
We will need a final count Thursday night for the Lions club.
4) There are still shirts on sale from last year’s event in the store.
-
My searching failed; what's the LTA entry fee? [Just curious at this point; don't have a racer ready]
-
250 dollars for the maine event.
200 dollars for the harvest event.
-
the 1 mile track could also be used for vintage and other bikes/cars which trap less than 125mph.
-
The mile course is not be equipped with a precision timing trap so there will be no certified records or timing slips. Speed will be captured via doppler radar and will be for shakedown runs and licensing.
1) We intend on running the mile friday afternoon and Saturday AM. Hopefully by then everyone will be tuned in.
2) The short course is not to be used if personell are not present.
3) After we have closed the course, racers will need to go to registration and volunteers will go over and monitor the course for you.
