Title: solid plate rims

Who makes them? At what point would you prefer them over a standard steel rim? This would be on a AA/BFALT (hopefully) capable of record runs.

Look at the ads in the back of the rule book (you have a rule book, right?) I seem to recall seeing an ad or 2 of business's that make solid aluminum wheels.  I'd look them up for you, but my rule book is at home, and I'm stuck at work.

The ones we got for the Bockscar were from Diamond Racing Wheels.  We have a very odd bolt pattern, 6x4.25 with a 3.625 center, so a custom wheel was the only way to go to mount GY LSR tires.
Email Bill, dbill@tds.net, very easy to work with, communication was excellent.
