Being new at last September's drivers meeting I just listened and did not voice an opinion or vote with a raise of the hand, but it was a unanimus decision that class records set at Maxton would stay in the records and a new set of class records would be established at Ohio. Question, will passes made in the first few Ohio meets be considered as records if no other entry is in a class until such time as someone runs faster? Maybe as a suggestion, unchalenged class runs would have to be within a set percentage of records established at Maxton. While respectful as still a new comer I am not ashamed that i am making improvements to my truck now to chase records in April. I will sit back now and listen, no read, and get the veteran's opions and yes the administrators opinions.
Since it is the day after I guess it's just Happy New Years, Garrell

If i was out of line I apologize, I know I could not be the only one wondering about this. Lots of lookers and not one comment or answer.
Part of my ongoing recovery is to learn something new every day, maybe todays it needs to be "keep quite and listen more." just finished reading my thirteenth car magazine and two books this month.

I "think" they are considering record minimums .....
-
No minimums...every class is open.

Thanks very much Joe, just wondered what would be the status.

That's right! Nothing like open records to add to your "signature"!
-
If Charles keeps at it he'll have to have his own thread just for his signature line. :-D

He don't have far to go!!!!

That lady that fills out the record certification is going to be real busy.
-
You know I didn't think about that, when the April meet is over every class will be a record. The ladys in the trailer really will be busy. Iwonder what the total class count could be, a lot of entrants might move up in class if they can get enough runs in I suppose.
Yawn, I wish, lot of pain tonight and I haven't slept in three nights.

Loring started with open records and their are still open records there. I remember there being a line at impound to certify records though. I'm happy the Maxton were retired. I was one who would have liked to see minimums, but so be it. Personally I wouldn't roll off and certify a 60 mph record, but I've seen it done when the record was open. I guess it just depends on who you are and what you are after. Have a great 2012 everyone.

Good catch Stan.
