Title: 86 Yamaha Fazer
Post by: mnsledder on December 07, 2011, 01:39:25 AM
Going to try & make the trip west this year. This is my weapon of choice, my trusty Fazer. I'll post pics as I go, I've been reading my rule book & this forum but I still have a bunch of questions I hope you guys can help me out with. I'm a newbie so don't be afraid to give me a hard time, I can take it.  :-D

A "before" pic.

Neat....you know, you wouldn't have to move the forks too far forward to take a second engine, cut off the trans, put it in front of this one....hmmm.  Maybe you shouldn't listen to me; my twin-engine idea ended badly.....but that sure is a compact engine.

Enjoy your build project; it is a lot of the great fun we have with this stuff!  It also gives us a practical reason to shop for tools.

Regards, JimL

First things first, I suppose I should be clear on my classification. Correct me if I'm wrong & point me in the right direction.

Designated frame class, (P) Production

Designated engine class (P) Production

700 cc engine so I'm running in the 750 class

Equipment, Production Modified because I am running aftermarket exhaust and a modified airbox with a K&N filter.

I believe you have to run in 750 m/p.. The exhaust is not production nor is the airbox so your engine is modified.

Someone correct me if I missed something.
