There you go!  Just stay away from the salt.  That'll be even more addictive.  Good luck this year.  Wish I could paint my daily driver somewhat the shade(s) your truck is.

Hey JRT, nice looking piece. Remember the only people you have to please are yourself and the tech officials. Hope you have a lot of fun. cheers

Dick now come on you know better than to be sarcastic... if you are only going 135mph a stock street car can pass tech.. maybe even 150 with a 4 point roll bar or cage... so don't assume tech is EASY anywhere.
It all depends on the speed,, YOU know that.

Read Reply #6.  He got bounced once and fixed it.  I was just bringing up the fact that he may not pass class specs if he was to continue on to, say Bonneville.

Now you know the speed you turn has nothing to do with the safety requirements. Class record does that. The faster the record, the more safety requirements.

That's more of an SCTA requirement.  And even then they will let a car run for Time Only with a speed limit.  Some of the other venues, and I'd guess ECTA, USFRA and Loring, have street car classes and impose speed limits on them.

Time Only can and does impose speed limits based upon safety tech. (not class requirements per say) at all events.  ECTA, LTA and SCTA from what I have been told.

It is a whole other ball game to get a car "legal for class" and to try for a class record.. we all know that,,, but new folks may not.

Let's be welcoming and helpfull to all the new folks...not slam them before they know that we are really nice people and just sometimes poke a little fun on these here forums.

I don't know CK, most of us need to thicken our skin to survive the sun and salt....  rolleyes  A little tough love seems to be what some folks need to survive the pre-race banter.
There are a lot of venues our there, easy to think I good for this I should be good for that... not always the case.

maybe we need a little desensitivity training....  undecided it's racing  grin

Stainless,, Happy Birthday,,,

I am not the sensitive type,,, just every now and then a few old times here on the forum,, seem to jump a new guy a bit to soon,,, I think the LSR people are some of the best folks I have ever met,,, I just don't want a newbie here on the board to get the wrong impression of us... OK to banter,, I myself can take whatever and dish it out quite well too.

Just let the new guys get to know us before we "turn up the charm"  Like Stan does so well,... LOL  Stan  cheers

Driving my Yellow 36 Ford  Roadster to the Run to the Sun car show in Myrtle Beach SC in the morning,,, leaving at 7am.. be there by noon..about 48 degrees in the morning warming to 75 on the way.  I will check back in here when I get home Sunday.
