  vertx mag with internal coil..........what can I run for a tachometer?
      any help appreciated...

 Have Tom Cirello convert it to a external coil.... lots more bang.  Unless it is a brand new mag it probably needs the magnets charged anyway.  (541) 948-0547      
  p.s. I use a AutoMeter tach and they sell a small converter box.             Bob

  When we first built the 222 AA/BGALT we used a mag with autometer electronic tach. When shifting, the engine would shut off, I found out, by looking at the tack go to zero, that the mag was shorting through the tack. Disconected the tack and stopped the problem. It seems there was a fix but I forget rolleyes and we switched to electronic ign. later.
