We have a very reputable person on the site that already supports Motec in Dave Dahlgren of Engine Management Systems. Dave has done great things for many people in the LSR arena. Bike and car alike. Dave also offers good personal tech support, great pricing and an honest answer. You may not like what you hear, but his experience is priceless. He has helped me alot in my projects.
People think what they want, $2500 is cheap.... Consider the amount of time you invest in figuring out other systems, may a race or two at bonneville just to get things to work correctly, lack of technical support (as others have already suggested),
MOTEC in my mind has more of a proven track record, great technical support....
As another user has suggested in the past... "Set it and forget it...." race your machine.\

Prices
start
at $2550? And this is the budget version?
Phew! I guess I'll be persevering with the old Megasquirt then!
I'm guessing Shane doesn't know how the "rules" of this forum work, but we'd be truly stupid to run him off.
I am with you on that man.

Ok guys here is the deal.
I was asked by MoTeC to promote the release of the new ECU - thought I could get away with putting it here and not cause a problem because it was a newly released product - not just an ad for a "Super Sale" of an existing product. I knew the risk and I took it. I do however have reasonably thick skin so I am not offended by any of the comments made regarding this post.
Jonny Hotnuts - What sort of information besides that mentioned in the release would you like regarding this or other MoTeC products?
Smitty2 - I can see where it could be viewed as an "Ad"
Slim - Check your email
DW230 - I'm not leaving
Briz - MoTeC is not for everyone or every budget kinda like Snap On. This box is being offered at roughly half the price of its big brother the M800 albeit with many less features.
dieselgeek - I'm not in any conditioning to run anywhere
Bottom line is - if this is unfair to current sponsors of the forum - and it is removed - I am certainly not going to argue and I mean no disrespect to the sponsors of this forum nor its management staff.
Sincerely,
Shane Tecklenburg
