Just got in from the salt flats ... today the event was well coordinated ... I believe I heard 369 total passes for the day ... not sure as I was away from the radio ... Watters and Higgins - oh boy - ... cant say enough good things about the Mile 3 Intl crew - Bob / Nick and another gentlemen whose name I unfortunately did not get ... these men have the patience of a saint ... I watched them brief every rider again and again to ensure they were comfortable ... great job ...

Just returned from Bonneville after running my 04 Dyna, 190hp/200 plus torque at minimum boost and experienced zero traction issues while destroying a rear 17" spoked wheel. Traction was not an issue, while the Hardtailz tuned 124" Aerocharged motor ran flawlessly! Were downloading information tomorrow, rpm, shift points, mph, etc. racer Wheeler Racing usa 754...humor me, you mean the 80 ft lb torque for perhaps a mighty HD being harder to handle than the 120 ft/lb plus that the turbo bike 750 has...??
above is just for fodder/entertainment....
seriously...THANK YOU DON for the info...YOU guys and gals are the warriors and warriettes out there in the battle, what YOU say matters...
thank you ALL (ray, 55chvr etal) for the feedback..!!!

..hmmm...a turbo charged 750 went 229 mph...the fastest 750 pass in the history of mankind....anywhere on the planet....including pavement and concrete... and gee...not a busa and not rcc....guess that is another wives-tale to throw away...
spot on........ Greg could ride half cut sitting backwards on the bike if he had to, but he didn't ..He would also be the last person to hold up what he'd done in others faces, because it'd be easy to be modest if he was on a 1650...but he ain't....... he is one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet......... that's an astonishing speed ....if they can persuade Brett de Stoop to go with them next year it'll be one hail of a pit....... Top effort Greg and Jim, pity its broken.

Kent, Traction must be great, he said he destroyed the wheel and had no traction issues..must of hooked so good it hurt the wheel.. Ditch the spokes and get a mag or Billet wheel..?

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime. His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.
Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all. J

Here we are again. I'm at the Int'l course zero mile and have been for a while. Wind is variable, 5-12 mph. Several PS bikes have run...so far all's well.
Max's liner was about to run and they found out they a throttle cable problem. I think they've got it fixed now. We're waiting for return runs at the moment.
