I was told this may be a better place to post this. Pardon the intrusion.

I have a '34 Ford Roadster I need to get from Maine to Utah. If any of you are coming out for Speedweek and have room in/on your trailer for a roadster, I will gladly pay for the haul. $1,000? Might be a good way to help off-set some of your expenses in coming out. Please contact me via any of the info below. The car is in South Berwick, which I'm told is right off the turnpike? Thanks.

I don't think any team from Maine is going to B-ville this year.

$1500?   cheers

Have you tried www.uship.com  ?

I have used them several times to have bikes hauled from all over and they have worked great

You log in, place an ad and shippers bid on the "load" and in the ad you state when it needs to be picked up and received at the other end..

The shippers have a rating system (feedback) like EBAY and you can even ask for copies of drivers info and insurance limits..

I know time is getting tight however many haulers may be deadheading (going back from a one way haul empty) and are looking for a way to offset the cost of fuel and maintenance.

Try it..and make sure to mention in the FREE ad that it neededs to be a secure enclosed trailer unless you are OK with it on a flat bed open set up.

Good luck if when you get to Speed Week....

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

I've used Uship.com,  too, and what Mr. Noonan, Sir, says is correct.  That' be my suggestion.
