WD40 isn't a great choice. It and water get along really well and it holds the water in suspension. You'll find rust or a rusty gummy coating after a while using WD40. A couple of better alternatives might be GIBBS Brand or StrongArm lubricants. They're both pretty much magic and the choice is kind of a Ford / Chevy thing.

Farm boys dump oil & diesel down the carb and smother the eng to pickle it---have to pull the plugs and turn it over with plugs out to restart with new plugs of course!! grin

Sparky, I've poored a lot of oil and diesel in engines I was prepping to store! grin

I'm really curious to see what the dyno tells us!
