I got in mid-afternoon last year and went through tech pretty quickly.  I am 99% sure the rookie orientation will be held saturday am or both days for late arrivals.

How late will they be doing inspections on Friday? Do they do any inspections Saturday?

Thanks

Just guessing here from past experience & how the ECTA does things...
Usually by 5-6pm on Friday most tech volunteers call it a day. Friday's tend to be a long day & the volunteers wear out after a while!
Tech can be done any time but remember that a lot of the volunteer techs also race so if you can get in before racing starts you'll have more available techs. If you get in after racing starts you may need to wait a little longer for a tech (or 3 if necessary) to be located. Fear not, you'll get teched and be able to run if you pass you just need a little more patience after the racing starts! Smiley Unless they have a good pool of techs not multitasking, but i wouldn't count on that!!

Get there as early on Friday as you can to set up & go through tech especially if its your first time. This way if you need to tweak anything to pass tech you'll have more time to work on it & reinspect and a bigger pool of less busy racers to advise & help out!

Good morning from beautiful Presque Isle Maine!

Hey Deb,

I know a guy driving up from CT Friday and he's not sure what time he'll get in on Friday.  Would you mind trying to find out if he could tech Saturday a.m. if he comes in too late Saturday?

thx

I'm positive he can tech any time during the weekend. As stated above, a lot of the techs are also racers so you might need to wait a little longer to get teched once the racing starts but he will be able to tech. Tech usually opens pretty early on sat mornings at the ECTA so I would expect the same here as well. In the 7-8am range?

I'm not sure if I saw a schedule posted but if he gets in late Friday he should get to the track as early as possible Sat for tech, drivers meeting & orientation if necessary.

Don't worry, if you get to the track before the end of the meet you'll get teched!!

Ask for me - Joe Daly - if you need tech inspection and there is no tech line. I will see that you get inspected.

You need a way to shut off your gas but it doesn't have to be a petcock. If you're still running the stock setup on the busa then the shut off button (on the right control) in conjunction with a tethered kill switch will pass tech.

I'll update when I can but not necessarily on here. Our whole gang has been & will be doing facebook updates via cell phone and I will try to keep my twitter updated as well with any text updates I make. My twitter is http://twitter.com/DahMurf You don't have to join twitter to see the updates.

Best I can do as I'm going to try to make a few passes this weekend. Maybe some of our facebook friends can cross post on here.

Running a test -
Some pictures from Todd and Debbie's facebook posts.  Let me know if you can't see them.  I might have to copy them from a different location.
