 Ellwood Hybrid 1300 cc single, still awaiting a crank, clutch, chain, electronics, fuel pump and injection harness, spikey tyres etc. If anyone has a funnycar type 4.6 " flat top piston to sponsor me with, or a secondhand Bandit clutch from a Sportster, please get in touch.  |

 This project is rather like the Mobacken boys steam kick, but my idea only runs on 200 Bar compressed air, so its a bit safer. The logo on the side is an idea for a SPONSOR , so if anyone wants their name or advert here , please get in touch. This project has already been accepted by Peter the LSR.se testing guy, so no worries in getting it through the test. Forgot to draw the parachute. Can anyone reckon out what maximum hole exhaust size i can have to make a 2 km run before it conks out ? |

Haha, no point for me wasting time on cadding when its the building that will make the run. the hardest bit is getting someone who can fill the tube. and that bit is fixed.

Not sure if it is Bike or car for next years event yet.
The car vill be an Mazda 323 Rwd Rotary powered car that is in progress for the moment if it is done in time...
The bike will be the Buell Turbo if i can manage to get it running properly and with different tyers and not thoose you can se att Elwoods pictures fron 2010 yr's event that is my bike.
If i not manage to get to the starting line i will be there for the party and meting all the fun people and not to mention thoose maniac's with the small jets that made little noice mostly all day long..lol

What do some of the bikes use for spike lengths and also do they then run a tube to keep from losing air pressure?
How long is the run up area and how long is the shut down?

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime. His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.
Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

Thank's for the welcome! It depends i guess, but what i saw and what i used there was ice racing studs that are commonly used at ice race bikes that runs on oval's. I think the length on my tyers are little over 1" inch wich is not so good as it is causing very much friction and weight and steal alot of power. There is a rubberlayer before putting in a tube to hold the airpressure. The tyers on Peter Westman's Hayabusa is using homemade titanium pick's that are heat treated to save weight as it expands with about 2" inch at the high speeds he is up in, this is what i have read on other places and i refer to that and are not sure about what he really uses. Guess you know all the secret's..lol I can put ut a picture on my tyers and put up here when i have got one to load up and they are not so good made but you will get the idea about it. The Track was last year 3.2km long that is aout 2 miles, 1km to build speed and 1km time zone and 1.2km for stopping, its an flying kilometer event and are the same for cars and bikes. |
