« on: March 29, 2010, 01:57:41 PM »

Hi, our 2010 event is over , and we already look forward to 2011.
Many new records on the ice, and a lot of fun.
We shall get some photos loaded up on this site soon
Congratulations to Peter Vestman for a very brave run over 300 kmh on the Hayabusa
Also to the propeller driven ice yacht, over 90 kmh
And to the Jet Spark (kick) which made it over the finish line.
And a big thankyou to our organisers who made this crazy event possible.

A propster on the ice. Must have been a real person as it ran.

Over 300 kph?  That's over 186 mph, right?  Hoo-boy, and on ice?  You're a braver man than I, McGee.  Congratulations to all -- and we look forward to next year right with you.

I saw Vestmans double GPS`s afterwards, they had both stopped at 300 KMH - they don`t seem to work after that speed. his speedometer was showing 342 kmh, like 213 MPH !
The light green propster shown in picture below ( battery driven propeller and ice skates) had difficulty in the car and bike tracks, it could have gone faster, but the driver was on his maiden voyage.
A few of the cars were over 250 kmh, over 150 MPH

Wow, that rocket powered thing would raise hell with the bar stool racers at the USFRA event. Interesting stuff for sure. Good for them. PS,don't tell FR.

Sure some cool-looking stuff.  Why is the salt so lumpy?
