Traditionality has its place Mr Hawking, just not for me in this case  A real puzzlement.
You'd think , observing F1 cars, and seeing, in spite of the fact the air has to go thru all the gyrations of the body work inside and out (AFTER it passes those bizarre, puzzling, FRONT wings ) and so forth, yet the designers still streamline the rear suspension linkages, that Lakester builders would pay attention would'nt ya?
I guess ignorance is Traditional. Or something. |

At a local show recently, they had a recent
Indy car parked beside a recent Formula 1 car.
If you look at the Indy car first,
it looks pretty high tech and aerodynamic.
Until you look at the Formula 1 car.
Then you see how things are supposed to be done,
and their attention to detail.
The streamlining of every component is inspiring.
Or course, the price tag is at least 10x more.
But suddenly, Indy car looks like a truck.

Hey my Tudor has a 5 speed! But, I love to see a period correct hotrod with all the right parts. I also have been known to dress up in 18th century clothing and carry a flintlock I built by hand..........so, I digress farther! Does the wind in a test come from the front or suck from the back or both? I know nothing of a wind tunnel test. The inside of our paint booth has the general side shape of your tunnel. ( down draft booth) Hmmm just thinking out loud You've given me lots to think about. Thanks, Steve
