Fantastic!
Good to see the BL ready.

You probably already know this lot are on the way from down-under. They’re a bit shy – NOT – give em’ cheek from the start and they’ll feel right at home.

Not long to go. Good luck Max and crew,
Good luck Mal Hewitt and the Oz Vincent Racing Team.

Black Lightning is secured in the travel trailer, 95% of the tools are packed, the other 5% we will forget just like last year when we failed to take a single hammer....

I'd show you a picture but I forgot to take the camera over... if you want to see, look at last years thread  rolleyes looks about the same.  In fact I consulted the pictures to see how we got it all in there...  wink

I am mowing, loading my scooter and all the racing junk that goes with it today and headed to Denver to finish the prep on the little car for speedweek.  Big car not ready, will take it to WoS.

See ya on the salt  cool

I just checked the Bub website to find out what  the prize money awards are for 2010 Bub Meet.

Can't find it.  Does anyone know?

Returned to Wichita to find that Max has been working, making sprockets, woo-ing sponsors and packing the trailer.  Looks like he is about ready to go.  I went through the tie-downs, made sure it all looked secure.

Shook it all, stayed in place

Yep, everything ready to travel.

May have a bit of news tomorrow... let you know then  grin  We head to Denver Thursday morning, Wendover on Friday, salt Saturday

That is how we know everything is secure  wink

Well here is the tidbit I promised yesterday
Max has a nice plaque for his K Club members ( folks that have contributed $1000 or more to the liner)
There are also some sponsor plaques but I don't have a picture of that one or info on the contribution level to earn that one.

Max made some T shirts that will be available on the salt at the Bub for a reasonable donation.

Can't find my copy of Gerry's video, but those will be available on the salt as well.  Stop by the Black Lightning pit and do a little shopping

At the moment we have nothing set up for mailing shirts or plaques.  However we do have a PayPal account on www.vincentstreamliner.com for the DVD's.

If all goes well we'll probably have a set up for the T shirts and plaques.

Thanks for asking.

We're all loaded up.  Checked out the brakes and the lights on the trailer.  Everything's a go, Huston.  Stainless is coming by at 7 a.m.  A short jog north, make a hard left on 70 and 8 or 9 hours later we'll be in Denver.  Spend the night.  Up at first light.  Head north to 80.  Hard left on 80.  Figure on slowing down around Wendover.

             See ya all there!

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

Great idea, Stainless, is there a price on those T-shirts or is it just a reasonable donation?

We'd like 2 XL's & one small or med. (ie: 3 shirts total) Let me know the bill & we can exchange at WOS or I can paypal now & pick up the shirts at WOS if you don't mind throwing them in the back of your truck.

We've donated to the project, would love to sport a t-shirt as well!

Good luck out there! We'll be watching virtually!
