As told 2 me by The Master of Speed it Looks Like another BAGGER Went down, and I Fore 1{ in the Name of SAFETY } Think that there is a Problem inherent with them ? I've only drag raced 1 so The salt+ a Bagger is a combo I'm not familiar with, but as Obiwan Say's{IT'Z NOT RIGHT!} . To Much aero Drag or Rider instability maybe? Or bad salt-Wet Course, and New Riders = Bad New ? Sure do miss Not being there !Keep up the Great Work, and Hope 2 See you All soon. S/K .......................... P.S A Sunset or Sunrise Pic would be Priceless!!!

...thats SOOO cool that Kim got the Aussie 750 out there and went over 190 on that course...... Joe
Todd & I agree!!! Great job! Hope they let her ride it when the salt improves!!! But the high point of the day was when I took my daughter into impound and then to have her record certified. She ran 131 on her qualifying run, then 137 on the return run. This was on my Honda CX500T which can't go that fast.
Congrats to you & your daughter (... who's name is...?) !!!! Debbie

The 205 was Greg Watters on one of our 750's. He was doing shakedowns on the methanol tune and running on an open record.Fastest pass so far with these conditions. I ran 186 and 196 on the naked 750 on another open record, mid day salt was better.Tried a late run but could only get 187,lots of wheelspin on all runs.Body going on today and Mick will have a go.

On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime. His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.
Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all. J

We're down at the south end of the international long course. Richard Assen's warming his bike (That was his little son on the bike in yesterday's photo, by the way). Max's liner is sitting over there with a bunch of folks around it, and Don Angel is suiting up and putting on the helmet. I'll post and get a photo or two. 65F and no wind right now.

Max's bike is away -- and dammit, the batteries in the camera just went dead -- during the send-off.
Don is building speed - after a bit of drama wandering as he left the line.
Chute is out. Didn't get through the mesured mile. Turning off.

Budfab is trying to push start. Assen is readying to go. Yesterday's Assen run (189) was slow because of an intermittent in the tether switch -- cutting off and back on during the run.
Don Angel in the Lambky liner is still on the track, not moving -- waiting for him to clear it so they can run Assen and Budfab.
By the way, Richard's son is seven-month-old Luke. He thanked me for your interest, ladies and gentlemen. He told me that two years ago they brought their daughter to the salt for their first visit -- so the idea of bringing youngsters continues. Break 'em in early, hey?
Bob (webelf for us) says he got the run logs from yesterday -- but I haven't yet looked to see if and where he posted 'em. I'll check -- and if you find 'em on here, let us all know where to look. I know that Rice Bros. explained that because of course starts and holds -- the sequential run numbers reset to zero a few times -- don't let that stump you when you find 'em.

Assen's on the bike, engine running. Engine off. Engine running and he's away.
Measured mile: 226.482 fastest run of the meet so far.
1081 157.423 in the mountain course.
I'm looking for the run logs from yesterday. And Delvene hasn't sent me the record sheets from yesterday yet.
