The 205 was Greg Watters on one of our 750's. He was doing shakedowns on the methanol tune and running on an open record.Fastest pass so far with these conditions. I ran 186 and 196 on the naked 750 on another open record, mid day salt was better.Tried a late run but could only get 187,lots of wheelspin on all runs.Body going on today and Mick will have a go.
COngrats Greg, nice 'shakedown' - and GO MICK!!!

Wait --before I put up the rest of 'em I'll try to make it easier for you to interpret. Gimme a couple of minutes -- at the truckstop getting batteries.

WE talked with Rob Hassay and got some pictures -- proof of why we wear leathers and helmets. He's fine -- well, walking with a bit of a sore leg limp, I see, but okay and pleased that so many of you folks were asking of him after his incident yesterday. The bike's not so good -- needs lots ofplastic and some metal-straightening.

Hy-vo chain troubles -- maybe? Stainless says this is what they're looking at right now on the Lambky bike. They're doing surgery -- hope they don't have a ruch SLC trip in their immediate future. The Buddfab bike stopped part way through the run earlier -- remember I said that? Well, John reported that they had mounted a idfferent rear tire -- and it wouldn't let the bike stabilize and so the thing wobbled back and forth. I hear the on-bike camera video is a real right-lrft-right-left-etc adventure. I hear the course is quite a bit less wet than yesterday. Here's the same blue ZX14R that had all of that salt on the front wheel yesterday (the rider said it was form the course, not just from back to the pits and down to the line:

Broke clutch at 5000rpm in second. Won't be able to fix it on the salt. Leaving tomorrow. Max

Did I tell you of the hassle Tom Mellor had this morning? Lit up the bike just fine, warmed it for a few seconds, his crew let him go -- and about five feet away that hard/skinny rear tire put the bike on its side. They righted it and he went off -- handling looked evil. They didn't announce a speed for his run.
