I was just checking out the Target 550 site and noticed a couple of new video's that I have not seen before. You might want to check them out.

http://www.target550.com/video2014.html

The first two are new, but if you scroll down there are others to enjoy.

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers. As a young boy I was always taught that there is no such thing as a stupid question. It suggests that the quest for knowledge includes failure, and that just because one person may know less than others they should not be afraid to ask rather than pretend they already know. In many cases multiple people may not know but are too afraid to ask the "stupid question"; the one who asks the question may in fact be doing a service to those around them.

From my place to Treit's is about 220 miles. I have been planning

that drive for more than several weeks, but the weather has not

been too co-operative. It's been cold and recently we have had

snow. His area has really taken it in the shorts. Freezing rain, sleet

and snow. There is a minimum of 120 miles of undesirable conditions,

so, I ain't going for a while. Korey has done some finishing on the

new shafts but I asked that they leave one as it was when it arrived.

I do comparison shots to show you. With the temps being as they

have been he has been busy dealing with freezing pipes and undercharged

batteries. It's been a while since I have been there but I still remember the

way. When this weather moderates I'll go and ring all of us up to date.

One more possibility that exists since I talked with him. Besides Australia

we now also have the possibility of Bolivia. They have run a small meet on

a huge basin and plans are underway for 2017.  Many improvements have

been made down there and conclusions that were drawn several years ago

have been modified and now the possibilities have doubled for places to run.

First we finish testing and then a choice must be made as to when and where

we will "hammer down."

This weather system can't last forever. Don't tell me how bad your conditions

are. Mine are just such that I ain't goin' now..... but I will later.

Just a short note to establish the weather conditions. Today we went above freezing.

It gets cold at night. The hummingbirds feeder do not freeze solid. There is still liquid

down the center. It take 4+ minutes to make it all liquid. They feed until dark. But at

Treits place the weather front has been stationary over the Portland, Oregon area for a

week. It's so bad that the Seattle TV stations feature PortlAd's weather daily. He has a gate

between his driveway and the highway but if he closes the gate and the snow comes he

can't open or close the gate. In the next 2 or 3 days we should warm up and get rain. So once

again, patience guides us. It's 2 miles from his house to the hanger. He hasn't been there for

several days.

If anything happens that's worth passing along......I'll do it.

12" at my house, the most snow in Portland, not equipped for heavy snow, in 20 years.  The pizzer was that all the weather forecasts said 1-4" and we got, generally, 10-12".

Fourth winter (white dropping/leaving) storm in less than a month.  Most unusual.

It's 9 AM PST right now. The outside temp is below freezing and the

forecast for Poorland, Organ is freezing rain and then snow. I'll go

as soon as is practical. Right now it isn't practical.

Stay home, Glenn!   afro

An Arctic (very) cold front is going to join with a subtropic (very wet) front Sunday over Portland.

I totally agree with you, Mike. It seems that Mutha Nature

is focused on Northern Oregon. When I was in LA two weeks ago

I was in their worst ever rain storm. I fell on a stairway and bashed

my skull and twisted my back. I am almost finished with my

chiropractic session and so the appointments are keeping me in

this area for at least another week.  My grandson just returned to

Portland last night from a month in Amsterdam with his job but

even seeing him is no incentive to test Oregon's snowy winter.

Thanks for the guidance and raise the helmet once in a while to

verify that "it's cold outside."

I don't think much is happening with the streamliner anyhow.

Thanks MIKE.

Freud, don't let a couple of "little" natural vortex generators scare you off!  shocked shocked

Weather has clamped down on everything. Marlo and i can't even

find anything to call about. It boils down to survival. As large as

his hangers are there are plenty of places for water to get into.

He also has so many batteries to tend to.  Since thee are no batteries

on the 'liner, it's no problem. When we get snow, he gets ice. When we get

rain he gets flooding. I'm staying home until I see 50F for 3 days w/o rain.

Then I'll probably run over some truckers busted tire chains.

When there is info of importance, I'll post it.

Thanks, Pals.

With time passing so rapidly Marlo has decided

that with or without the test runs he will go to

Australia in 2018. That gives 9 months until the

containers have to be on the dock for shipping.

Hang on boys, this time will dissolve rapidly.

Looks like my assignment will ramp up soon.

Is there a date set for 2018? I have been thinking of taking a trip to Australia late in 2018 and might schedule my trip around this if the time line works out?
