I can't believe it's been so long since I did a post.

The car was front and center at the Grand Opening

of the World of Speed Museum in Wilsonville, Oar E gun.

It opened Friday April 23. It will only be there several

more weeks. Many cars must be moved to get it in and

out. I'll post fotos tomorrow. Thursday April 30.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out.

Freud, I commend your spelling of the Beaver State but remember the "E" is silent.  rolleyes

I guess some members of other roadster clubs have longer things.  That one still looks hooded.

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers. As a young boy I was always taught that there is no such thing as a stupid question. It suggests that the quest for knowledge includes failure, and that just because one person may know less than others they should not be afraid to ask rather than pretend they already know. In many cases multiple people may not know but are too afraid to ask the "stupid question"; the one who asks the question may in fact be doing a service to those around them.

We went up to the museum to look at the target 550, Freud's truck, and the new Triumph streamliner.  They were there a few weeks ago and now they are gone.  Does this mean the 550 is being made ready for another run?

Yes, the Treit and Davenport 'liner is being readied for a trip to Bonneville.

Marlo intends to be ready to run anytime there is a course available and

would even consider private time if all conditions were just right. The team

went to Les Davenport's shop in Calgary, Canada to test the blower modifications.

They returned to Treit's shop in Oregon June 26. Now they are preparing for the

USFRA Test and Tune that starts July 10th.

Marlo and the crew went to Calgary, Canada and did some dyno runs.

Les Davenport has modified the Whipple blowers and that was one

of the main tests. Horsepower readings were not the main interest.

Their concern was that the timing of the rotors did not change.

It was a short testing session when one considers the distance.

So the drill now is to be ready to leave for Wendover in a few days

and continue their test program.

Be ready for Les to get his foot in it early in the session.

Come see us.

Thanks for keeping us informed.  This looks like it will be an interesting year.  The bad weather the last year has kept folks away from the salt and they have taken advantage of that to do lots of development.
