I haven't shown this yet -- but it's the art on the back of the 2014 Salt Talks shirt.  We're making about 100 shirts (plus what the three sponsors want -- don't worry, fellers - - you'll get yours), so if you want one you'll have to be prompt in getting to the Salt Talks picnic.  We have to be careful selling them from our pit -- SCTA rules ask us not to do so.  If we run out of shirts we're got the ability to make more wit out too much hassle, except that it'll cost you postage as well as the $20 for the shirt.

The first run had a maximum GPS speed of 272.71 mph - the video for that run can be seen on YouTube here:

The sound that this car makes when Mr. Davenport finally puts his right foot into it gives me goosebumps.  grin

It sounded good on one engine. When they started the second engine it was way too cool.

Ryan,

Thanks for that link. Very interesting looking at the data. Isn't this the run that the transmission had a problem in 2nd Gear? Even so for the first run on a car I am impressed especially losing 2 gear and the low throttle settings, here is what I noted.

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers. As a young boy I was always taught that there is no such thing as a stupid question. It suggests that the quest for knowledge includes failure, and that just because one person may know less than others they should not be afraid to ask rather than pretend they already know. In many cases multiple people may not know but are too afraid to ask the "stupid question"; the one who asks the question may in fact be doing a service to those around them.

I just returned from Treit's place. I have many more fotos and several theories as to what happened.

If you have a theory, send it to Judge Judy.

She will sort thru them and her decision is binding in a court of law.

Her opinion is about as valid as anyone else's that hasn't seen the engine and the car.

Maybe you can defend your theory on TV but we won't be the ones that you argue against.
