I don't like the site.  I went for a quick look -- and ended up spending way too much time looking at only just a small fraction of the great photos and captions.

The site is a fine example of a "time sink" -- it'll absorb all of the time you care to devote to it -- and still ask for more.

Nice work, Marlo, Freud, and Ray.

I gotta get back to work on a seemingly endless number of photos to edit and get on my web site.  I'm workin on the stuff I shot last week in Pocatello, Id.  In about 10 days I'll head for Las Vegas to start another backlog at the Rockabilly Weekend.  What means retired???

I thought it was important for people to read what the owner of Project 550 has to say about his passion for Bonneville. So I switched it up a little to catch (hopefully more) peoples attention.

It suggests that the quest for knowledge includes failure, and that just because one person may know less than others they should not be afraid to ask rather than pretend they already know. This week's update is available now: http://www.target550.com/gallery.htm  It's the last entry on that page.  The new face is Dave Jeffers, a master machinist with a whole lotta experience. 

Other subjects covered are canopy components (NACA duct, latch, opening cylinder), preparation for running the air lines and the panel that will hold the liner's instrumentation. 

If you look at the t-shirt Dave's wearing in photo 10, you'll see a drawing of a tunnel entrance.  A closer look shows a light at the end of that tunnel.  (No, it's not a freight train.)  Things is gatherin momentum on its path toward some serious speed.

Well, there was a loose nut behind the wheel and he kinda scrambled the order of the photos.  Uhhh...that loose nut would be me.  I fixed it...but it typifies the way my week has gone.

I'm sure glad I have a week off from shooting car shows.  I'm not sure that I'd be able to find my way home, even with my new GPS.

I don't think we will stumble soon. It's just way to exciting to see it develop.

Besides, I think it's my obligation to keep Ray off the streets. The way I

present the fotos to him requires his total dedication to make 'em look good.

In the target550.com post from yesterday  was a reference to the girls from Granite Falls, WA Manufacturing class.

They designed and built a car for the Shell Oil Eco  Marathon.
